Over the past 2 years, I have lost 150 pounds. I did it by myself: no pills, no crazy diets, no reality shows... I still have about 60 pounds to go, so I thought it might be a good idea to start a (free) diet club. This would be a chance for us to guide and support one another. We meet every two weeks to share our struggles and successes. There is nothing in this for me except the opportunity to help others and, in doing so, continue on my own path to fitness. We have topic sessions from area health professionals about once a week. Topics could include dieting, chiropractic care, vitamin and other nutritional supplements, counseling, etc. My other group, NW Suburbs Activity Group has fun active events (hiking, bowling, golf, etc) that supplement the learning from this group.
